Floor Console Question

Hi guys, Happy Holidays to everyone! I have a question about the floor
console for my four speed '65 Skylark GS. After a friend helped me
take it out of the car to repaint, we discovered that the three tabs
underneath the console that hold the upper shift boot had been broken
off. Does anyone have any ideas how I could possibly fix that or how
to work around not having them and still be able to use the new upper
shift boot I'm purchasing? Thanks!

mounting bracket for powewr steering pump

Hey, Im putting power steering on my1967 buick gs california. i have all nthe parts except the bracket that mounts the pump to the aluminum bracket that is attached to the block. Ive ordered it twice from junkyards and both times i got the bracket that i already have. If sombody has pics they could post of their engine and power steering set up, i would appreciate it. or any other info on where to get these brackets. thank you./ Dieter stranz

I'm looking for a 71-72 convertible, but they all seem to come with bench seat & column shifters. Did these years ever come with buckets & console?

How difficult would it be (read: expensive) to find a pair of buckets & a console for this era GS?

1970 fire red Dupont chromabase mixing NON cumalitive Guide

Was wondering if anyone has the correct mix guide ( in weight) for the 1970 Fire Red code 75 in dupont ChromaBase. It seems that it is not available for 70, but you can get 1972 which is Cranberry red ( not the correct color for 70) . This is the Guide for a QT of the Cranberry:
LS red Oxide - 428.6
Magenta - 105.8
Red Orange - 93.6
LS White - 29.6
150K B/C balancer - 516.8

Hello, I'm a newbie. I purchased a sweet 70 GS 350 out of Trenton, GA about 3 years ago. A near perfect car. Took a hit in the left front quarter, but very rest free. I took out every bolt, refinished everything and it's going back together. (never broke a bolt!, gotta love the southern cars!) I've hit a road block. Does anyone know where I can get a new vinyl top. Color of the vinyl is dark brown. Year One only offers Black, White, and Buckskin. The base color of the car...

Need Help With 65 Riviera GS Dual Quad Throttle Linkage

Can someone please help me with my 65 GS? I could use a few photos of the factory original throttle linkage to the front carb. I'm having trouble adjusting the front carb to open in timing with the rear, causing the car to bod down with WOT. My linkage has a spring on the front end with 2 nuts that adjust it against the T on the throttle arm of the front carb, but the books show a solid throttle linkage with no spring on the front.

GS paint color question

I am painting my 1970 Skylark Custom Saturn yellow and adding a GSX stripe kit with spoiler. It was originally Bamboo (dirty cream color) with a brown vinyl top with lots of rust holes under the vinyl so the car is lucky to have survived in my opinion, I considered parting it out a few times since I purchased it 12/96. My question is were the original GSX's painted flat black on the hood strips and sides or was it gloss black? My painter mentioned that most of the 60-70's muscle...

Gas tank/Dome lights

What can I do to vent the gas tank on my 70 GS? From the factory it came with a vent piece but it has been destroyed over the years. It has two lines entering from the tank then venting to the air. I'm also looking for replacement sail board lights for my GS. I can find the lenses but no housing. The last item I'm looking for is an in-dash tach.

I am redoing my engine on a 1972 GS with a 455 engine. I need a torque plate to correctly rebore the heads. Does anyone know where I can rent or borrow one of these? I live in the Chicagoland area.
