Rocky,
Are you a V8 or turbo guy ? We understand that there will be a big and important intercooler shootout / comparison being performed at the event. Word is many of the heavy hitter Nats. racers will be there for some testing and data logging important results as to which one works the best. Should be very interesting and informative. Be there ! Just spoke to Mark at Poston's and he will be there also. He told me that WildCat Racing Engines has work booked well into January of next year. Many Buick motors to do and a ton of circle track motors to do for the racers at the brand new racing facility less than a mile down the (main access road) to this track that the shop is located on. You couldn't for a better and more convienient location for exposure and free advertising.  Ron Ron |

Now I remember you. We had a blast at the track and in the Mex restaurant at nite. For some reason, the weather is really great for this race. Looking like a big crowd will be on hand for this last big race of the year. Still trying to get away to make it. Will know early next week. Save me a seat in the restaurant.  Ron |

Ron, we will in fact be doing some testing of our own, but after reading this thread turbobuicks.com/forums/sh...hp?t=42650 and the general attitude of select people, Cal and I have decided to only share this information with people at the event if they choose to ask. No public posting of the test results will be done.
I am not aware of any testing of the SE and BA units, maybe they can chime in with their intentions. See you all there!!!! |

Boy this intercooler testing has taken a new turn. I originally planned on "silently" testing a couple of prototypes for myself and Ted. After several phone calls, it looks I will be busier then I originally planned.
I already have data (turbo outlet temps, turbo & intercooler backpressure, core temp, etc..) on a few intercoolers and turbos. I will compare the new information to what I already have. I have never released any of this information in the past mostly because the racer in me was trying to get an edge. After seeing that thread, I'll continue to due my "biased" testing  Cal Hartline 87GN TSO Car
