I spoke with my customer yesterday. Looks like they will be bringing the turbodragster to the GS Nationals this year. If all goes well, look for it to run some
mid to low 6's. This is a twin turbo V6 running on alcohol. I'll try and post some pics later. I am hoping Mike Buhrer (sp?) can bring his supercharged
dragster, too. It would be nice to see some side by side action.

I would think Mike pry would come if the club voiced interest in letting him compete. And posted on turbo buick that he is welcome to attend. Steve Pitts

Ron as of right now we will be attending the 08 Nationals. I am leaving the Wildcats at home and bringing our 200" front engine dragster.
We will be going for testing very soon with it. This one is powered by a Hilborn alcohol injected Nailhead. We will be running on up to 40% nitro in early April at an event in Phoenix Az.. It would be great to see other rails at the Show in BG. Let me know what class we can run in. I am thinking bracket 1. John Everett MadCat Motorsports |

John,
We're hoping to see as many of these type cars in competition. Our RD Jim Carswell will jump on here & advise us what can be worked out. We'll be sure to have the track cleaned & prepped to the max just prior to your & the other's runs. Ron J. GS Nats. PR Director SEMCC PR Directorbe |

I wouldn't mind seeing them run in the Quick 16 class in one format or another. I realize that at this point that class only allows "door
slammers" but anyone is certainly welcome to bring their Buick powered vehicles of any type and we will work them into the program and get them an equal
amount of track time. If they want to make some type of grudge match we will certainly accomodate them. Just work out a format and get it to me and we will get
you into the schedule. If not then please feel free to still bring it out as we will get you plenty of test n tune time. Feel free to give me a shout and lets
do some brain storming to try and figure out how we can best get you what you are looking for. 334-538-5868. Thanks.

Jim,
What about letting them run in the Big Dog shootout that Conley puts together?

Anyone that meets the rules of TSO can run in TSO. Just like if they meet the rules of the Big Gun Shootout they should be able to run. Do they meet the rules of the Big Gun shootout?

FWIW, Buddy Ingersoll's brother was at the Nats. last year. I had the
pleasure of meeting & chatting with him.... a very nice & neat guy. I'm going to look him up & see what the status of his brother's turbo '80's Pro Stock car is. Perhaps, if it still lives, there might be a way to get this car to BG this year. Here is another reason to be in BG this year. I'm on it ! Ron J. GS Nats. PR Director SEMCC PR Director |

Super-16 is and will remain Buick-bodied, Buick-powered doorslammers only. That's not negotiable. The end.

I have to agree with Doug on this the Q-16 has always been for door cars and I feel it should stay that way. The rules have been written for a couple of
months and this would be a bad move to start making changes. Doug has started to make the quick 16 quick again and should be left to see what happens
without any input from others. Go Doug Go

There already is a heads-up race for the fastest cars every year. It's Lawrence Conley's Big Gun Shootout. I don't know if Lawrence has any rules
about bodies or not.

Doug I am waiting to hear back from some people about the Big Gun Shootout. I was just wondering about having a King of the Hill race like has been done in the
past. I am looking forward to BG no matter what class we fit into.
