Hi, I am new to the site and first time poster.... I am in the process of purchasing my first Buick and need some help. I am a long time Mopar fanatic so
please bear with me. I have the chance to buy a 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 4-speed and just want to make sure the car is what it is. The car does have the original
motor but, I want to make sure the car is a original Stage 1 car. I was told to look for an SS next to the dip stick to confirm this(Yes it is there but, is
there any other coding to confirm). The car was originally Glacial White hard top w/ 4-speed, manual drum and manual steering and a 10 bolt rear(I find it odd
because I always remember Buicks to be well optioned). The car does have the usually Stage 1 badges, air cleaner, chrome valve covers and original correct
intake. Carb, exhaust manifolds and rims are missing. Any info would be greatly appreciated. below is the SS on the block(if photo comes up) and yes the ID on
the block matches the vin.
