How difficult is it to put a 700R4 behind a 401 in a '66 Skylark that now has a ST/SP300? I know there is a kit to mount the tranny to the motor but what crossmember changes are needed and how about carb linkage? Cable type is needed as I have read.
It seems like a great combo for the short on HP nailhead to have a set of 3.73's to 3.90's with an OD that is 68% of those ratios. Better ACCELLERATION AND NICE CRUISING RPM'S BUT IS IT WORTH IT AND HOW DIFFICULT,sorry for the caps. THX
